My name is Megan. My first language is English, but I also speak Mexican Food fluently. I have a rockstar husband, Lance, who makes my life happy and not boring. We’re both from Alabama, and we spent two years in DC with our dog and cat. I was pretty lonely there, so we just moved back to the south and bought our first house Nashville, Tennessee.

I am a writer, an avid reader and movie watcher, a musician, a democrat, a cook, a wife, a big sister, a friend, and a brand new mommy (unless you count being a mom to my dog, which I kind of do since she taught me how to deal with poop without engaging my gag reflex). My life changed when I realized that God loved me. I have strong conviction that Jesus is real and He loves every single person on this earth and it’s my prayer that whatever you may have been told about God, the church, or Christ, that you’ll come to realize, as I have, that you’re loved by the Creator and nothing you do or say will separate you from that love.

ABOUT THE NAME

The last stop for the Israelites as they made their way across the middle eastern desert was Kadesh. They had to wait in this land before they could cross the River Jordan in order to enter the promised land. This is the place I am in… the place where God is testing me, building me up, strengthening my spirit.

Soon I’ll cross the River Jordan and embrace the promises that wait for me on the other side. Soon, as Donald Miller says, I’ll be close enough to the Father to see the lines on His face.
